As WaterAid celebrates its 35th birthday we can announce our sponsorship of the 2016 Anglian Water 4 day WaterAid Cycle. The event which is held over two weekends in September sees around 100 cyclists from Anglian Water and their supply chain tackle a variety of challenges ranging from 35 – 200 miles.
As part of the sponsorship, every cyclist will receive a Panton McLeod water bottles to help them stay hydrated along the way. Panton McLeod Director Shelagh Briggs is happy to help out, “We have always supported charitable events and I can even remember some of our guys dressed as cleaning ladies taking part in the Scottish Water Wateraid raft race back in the late 1990s.”
“As part of the Anglian Water supply chain it is great to be involved, WaterAid is a great cause and we wish everyone the best of luck, and forgiving weather conditions!”
“We look forward to seeing photos of the event and of participants using the water bottles, hopefully, they can beat last year’s fundraising total of £17,250.”
Chris Featherstone, a Water Services Strategy Manager at Anglian Water is helping to organise the event, “I would like to thank Panton McLeod and all of the other sponsors, supporters and participants.”
“Last year’s event was a great success and I am sure this year will be no different.”
