We scooped 2 Northumbrian Water GEM Awards!

NWG Gem Awards

We are celebrating after scooping two Northumbrian Water GEM (Going the Extra Mile) Awards for our innovative robotic work and health and safety good practise at a glittering awards ceremony on the 10th June.

The annual awards, hosted by the water company, are awarded to projects that go the extra mile to help Northumbrian Water achieve its goal to be the national leader in sustainable water and wastewater services.

We were honoured as part of Northumbrian Water’s recognition for the challenging but successful underwater robotic clean of a critical service reservoir at Horsley Water Treatment Works.

The project won the “Creative Award” – Delivering benefits by employing an innovative approach, and were finalists (runners-up) in the “Health and Safety Excellence Award”. Other partners on the project were MWH, Mott Macdonald, Stonbury and NWL.

Gwynn Tiberio, PM Operations Manager said, “The award is a real honour and a very welcome recognition of the hard work and effort that went into this challenging, unique and ultimately satisfying project. I’m very proud of our teams for all they did to make this project such a success”.
