Panton McLeod have been working with AQS Environmental Solutions to assist Irish Water, the work is supporting planning and prioritisation of investment at several key service reservoirs, all without the need for the tanks to be taken out of supply.
During May, several key potable water storage reservoirs were inspected using Panton McLeod’s dedicated potable water robotic inspection submarines, the assets remained in service during the works allowing supplies to the public to be maintained.
The partnership between Panton McLeod and AQS Environmental Solutions is providing Irish Water with a portfolio of specialist services from non-intrusive inspections, advanced cleaning techniques and waste removal and recycling.
Rónán Beasley, Technical Director at AQS Environmental Solutions is excited at the potential that the partnership brings to Irish Water, “We have been key suppliers to the Irish water market for many years, our ability to provide national coverage, specialist services and in-house disposal is key to the success we have achieved so far.”
“By working with the team from Panton McLeod we are now able to extend those services to include some of the latest developments in water quality engineering, these include robotics for the inspection and cleaning of storage tanks, tether-free leakage detection and inspection of water mains, and mains preparation ahead of re-lining.”
“We are also excited to be able to offer Panton McLeod’s cleaning products for storage tanks, the PM55 and PM88 range of products offer the Irish market a fantastic opportunity to increase the quality of reservoir cleaning especially including where Cryptosporidium is a risk.”
With the recent inspections completed the team are now working with Irish Water to help specify and prioritise the required investment into the assets, ensuring water quality is protected.
